GEO in Hindi: write instructions people can actually follow

A Hindi page can be grammatically correct and still be difficult to use. This often happens when familiar product terms are replaced with formal translations that readers do not recognise, or when translated instructions no longer match the English interface on screen.

If a booking tool has a button labelled “Add staff”, keep that label in the instructions and explain in Hindi what to do. The aim is for someone to complete the task without guessing which control the translation refers to.

Choose ordinary language and concrete steps

Describe what the service does, who it is for, what it costs and how to begin. Use the words customers use in support conversations. Explain necessary technical terms at first use and avoid long noun-heavy sentences copied from English.

State the actual market, currency and support languages. Hindi alone does not establish where a service is available, and a Hindi sales page should not imply that every support channel operates in Hindi.

Check the text in forms and messages too

Check Devanagari, the script used for Hindi, in headings, copied text, form fields and confirmation emails. Submit a test enquiry and compare the message the employee receives with the text you entered. If characters are corrupted, ask a developer to investigate rather than deleting symbols that appear unnecessary.

Give the Hindi version its own stable URL and link it to equivalent pages. Before publication, ask someone from the intended audience to follow an instruction. Then test customer questions in Hindi and save the AI answers and sources. Check separately whether the instructions work, whether the answer is accurate and whether the site is cited.
